It is set to be released on October 4, 2010 in the United Kingdom and majority of Europe and October 5, 2010 in the United States.[4] The album's title is derived from a lyric on the first track "Crucify Me", which directly reads "There is a hell, believe me I've seen it. Writing and recording

On November 26, 2009, Bring Me the Horizon confirmed that they would start the writing of their third studio album in the early part of 2010, scheduled for a summer release.[citation needed] The album would be the first with the band for guitarist Jona Weinhofen, who stated that he was "…excited to be working on something new and so different than [his] previous works". After spending the majority of their writing time in rural Scotland, the band entered Studio Fredman in Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström in March, completing the majority of the recording process by June. Due to unforeseen delays, the band ended up behind their recording schedule at Studio Fredman. Six of the vocal tracks were therefore recorded over three days in Los Angeles, just before embarking on the Warped Tour.

Release

On August 12, a press release revealing the album's title, artwork and track listing was released. It was accompanied by a preview trailer for the album, which was published through the Epitaph Records YouTube channel. A 30-second sample of the first single "It Never Ends", released on August 20, was published on Amazon.com the same day. Their song "Fuck" was released through the band's MySpace, PureVolume and Facebook pages, as well as the Visible Noise YouTube channel and Epitaph Records SoundCloud page, on September 14.

September 13 saw the first leaks of the full album on popular peer-to-peer websites. To battle the leak, the full album was made available for streaming on the band's MySpace page on September 28th, a week prior to its official European release date.

From the cover of Alternative Press to a supporting slot on Linkin Park's 2008 North American arena tour, Chiodos has knocked the music world on its collective ear with the arrival of Bone Palace Ballet (Equal Vision Records). With a stunning #5 Billboard debut last September, the sophomore disc by the cutting edge Michigan sextet affirms what loyal devotees of the group have known all along: Chiodos is inexorable.

Touted by the aforementioned Alternative Press as both "an arresting piece of post-modern musical art" and "a frighteningly mighty album of exhilarating musicianship and inspired lyrical introspection that plays out like an evening at some glorious experimental-hardcore cabaret," Chiodos' dramatic charms are on full display with the lush, keenly orchestrated Bone Palace Ballet.

Be it the goth-tinged wallop of first single and video "Lexington (Joey Pea-Pot with a Monkey Face)" or the roaring "Bulls Make Money, Bears Make Money, Pigs Get Slaughtered," the sextet--consisting of vocalist Craig Owens, bassist Matt Goddard, keyboardist/vocalist Brad Bell, drummer Derrick Frost and guitarists Jason Hale and Pat McManaman--makes brilliant post-hardcore music that sounds innovative and feels the pain of everyone.

But that's not to say the follow up to 2005's fan-cherished 200,000-selling All's Well That Ends Well came effortlessly. "We were feeling pressure," keyboardist Brad Bell explains. "We went into the studio with tons of song ideas, but some of the songs we had weren't entirely completed. And that was a challenge and it was a little bit intimidating." "There was one point where we didn't keep one of the deadlines we had been given, and a lot of ?What ifs' started to bubble up," Goddard concedes. "I think every band, no matter who they are, is afraid of that second record. It can make or break you. So we couldn't help but feel nervous."

But staying true to their vision and counting on the guidance of producer Casey Bates (Gatsby's American Dream, Portugal The Man) paid off. Tracks like the crushing, oft-maniacal "Teeth The Size Of Piano Keys" and the melodic, single-worthy "A Letter From Janelle" not only took shape, but also brought the band into a new realm. "Casey helped us sift through the ideas and make the songs the absolute best they could be," Bell asserts. "We couldn't be happier with what we've done. I think it's a record we can definitely be proud of and build from."

Anchored by virtuosic lead singer Craig Owens, the Chiodos frontman possesses a wide vocal range that's evidenced by his performance on the invigorating, cabaret-laced "Is It Progression if a Cannibal Uses a Fork?" Owens' onstage persona is as stellar as it is unsettling, bolstered by the wordsmith's deeply poetic lyrics (Bone Palace Ballet takes its name from a collection of Chuck Bukowski poems) and the singer's ability to careen from a pitch-perfect melody to a blood-gurgling rant (see "If I Cut My Hair, Hawaii Will Sink").

And perhaps it's that widely eclectic formula and agility in switching sonic gears that allows Chiodos to maintain an audience as diverse as the music they make. The group's incendiary live shows at varied venues and events--from the world famous Vans Warped and Taste of Chaos Tours to the Bamboozle Festival --have reaped them an ever-bulging fan base drawn to their distinct fusion of emo, classic rock, hardcore, and progressive metal.

"I think our fans get something from our music that they can't find in other bands," Brad says of Chiodos' loyal following. "We're a little different from what people are used to." To which Matt adds, "We are very blessed. The dedication that our fans, or the Chiodos Army as we call them, have toward us is phenomenal. It's exciting to see them get so stoked about something that we've created."

Whether it's Owens taking his nightly walk across the top of the crowd--as he did on the band's Fall '07 sold-out headlining trek--or guitarist Pat McManaman diving from the balconies of assorted venues, the fear that a member of the band might fall and break a limb has been alleviated by the complete and utter trust Chiodos has in its fans. After all, the rock & roll acrobatics are all part of the group's ultimate goal: to give Chiodos fans a performance that will stay with them. "We're giving our fans an experience, a memory," Brad explains. "So if Craig goes walking out on top of the crowd, or if one of us climbs up onto something, it's kind of thrilling. It gives people something to talk about and remember."

Armed with a video for "Lexington," lensed by director Josh Graham (Saves The Day's "The End", Underoath's "It's A Dangerous Business?"), the men in Chiodos are celebrating each milestone brought forth by the David Bendeth (Paramore, Hawthorne Heights, Breaking Benjamin)-mixed Bone Palace Ballet. So what was going through their heads when they dropped in at #5 on the Top 200? "We never could have expected that kind of thing. We were all shocked and excited by the news," Brad says.

"You know, we're living proof that bands can promote themselves and get themselves out there without the help of a major label," Goddard continues. "Word of mouth and the internet were both big things for us. We toured our asses off for several years and word got around about us. And we wound up having Equal Vision's highest charting record ever."

With their eyes on the Linkin Park trek and the rest of the world in 2008, Chiodos' founding keyboardist considers the support slot "a great opportunity for us to have our music heard by 10,000 potential new fans each night." Adds Matt, "We're Chiodos. Here we are. Get Ready.' That's our attitude."

As Chiodos steps into the spotlight, one might assume they're a little apprehensive. They're anything but. "We're psyched," Brad acknowledges. "We've always sort of had the dream of being a big band. I don't know if it will happen for us, but I'd be lying to say I haven't thought about it."

Seefeel - Faults [2010] [320kbps] HoTT

While Seefeel never officially split up, the project has been lying dormant for well over a decade. The band, was originally formed of Mark Clifford (guitar and programming), Sarah Peacock (guitar and vocals), Mark Van Hoen (bass) and Justin Fletcher (drums), until Van Hoen was replaced with Daren Seymour in 1992. Seefeel evolved on the fringe of shoegaze and were for a while closely associated with the Cocteau Twins, with whom they toured, yet their approach relied increasingly on heavily processed guitars and abstract ambient soundscapes which earned them considerable respect in electronica circles. In the space of three albums and a handful of EPs, released on Too Pure, Warp and Rephlex, they established a sound which remains to this day highly influential and totally unique. Following the release of their third album, (Ch-Vox) on Rephlex in 1996, Clifford concentrated on solo projects Disjecta and Wodenspoon, and collaborative efforts with Simon Kelaoha, better known as Calika, vocalist Sophie Hinkley as part of Sneakster, and more recently with Mira Calix, while Peacock, Seymour and Fletcher went on to form Scala. Clifford and Peacock were reunited three years ago as Too Pure issued an expanded version of the band’s 1993 debut album, Quique, and the idea of working together again slowly began to emerge. The band, counting new members Shigery ‘DJ Scotch Egg’ Ishihara and IIda ‘E-Da’ Kazuhisa in replacement of Seymour and Fletcher, were invited to perform for the first of the Warp20 series of events in Paris last year, paving the way for a new chapter in the Seefeel cannon.

Right from the opening moments of the title track of this EP, it is clear that Seefeel have moved on from the deeply atmospheric textures of their last record to incorporate beats and actual song forms once more, but unlike their early recordings, the sound is often stripped down, with drums and bass placed forward in the mix while processed guitars are found slightly towards the back. This is particularly the case with Faults and Folds, which both feature Peacock on vocals, cast against a rather scarce and dry backdrop, almost entirely focused around the rhythmic section, with only scraps of guitars and electronics in suspension around it, on the former, or buried under layers of processed sounds on the latter. Here, Seefeel delve once again in the abstract song forms that was initially at the core of their work, but the clouds of sounds that was intrinsically part of it have become a much less concrete component. This is shoegaze turned on its head and shaken so violently that there is almost nothing remaining of it apart for vague hints here and there.

Tracklist:
01 Faults.mp3 11.43 MB
02 Crowded.mp3 11.57 MB
03 Folds.mp3 10.07 MB
04 Clouded.mp3 10.77 MB

There is a much wider gap between Crowded, with its looped guitar textures, at times reminiscent of Climatic Phase 3 or Plainsong, and the more purely electronic Clouded. The former, built around a powerful groove and vast hypnotic dubbey guitar sections, which grow from pretty arid at first to spiraling loops, then back to drier effusions, is classic Seefeel. Clouded on this other hand takes up fragments of ambient textures and twist them into totally abstract sound forms which has very little to do with anything the band have produced until now. There are hints of Autechre or Aphex in there, but the core sound space is once again stripped down to its bare essential and remains for its entirety extremely minimal and enigmatic.

One thing that remains from the Seefeel of old is the overall hypnotic nature of the music. The soundscapes may at times be much more minimal and raw than previously, but these compositions still rely heavily on narcotic bass lines, endless loops and dreamy stabs of dub. Both Mark Clifford and Sarah Peacock have matured in the years they were apart, and with new musicians on board to injects new ideas and concepts into the band, Seefeel is being brought back to life having lost none of its edge.

Helios - Unleft [2010] [Anthology] [320kbps] HoTT

This is some very excellent stuff here guys- Helios has given me many tremendous days :)

On Unleft, Keith Kenniff collects previously unreleased Helios material recorded between 2000 and 2009, sequencing the resultant tracks as a self-contained album. The resultant fifty minutes plays out as a wonderfully varied sequence that focusses on melodically resonant electronic music. You'll hear some of the compositional techniques Kenniff has become known for at work, cutting a tuneful, glitched-up swathe through opener 'Convivium', while the crunchily filtered, slow-core beats of 'Friedel' and 'Distance' channel a hazy, opiated quality. Taking this a little further, the creaking deep bass and beautiful electronic post-rock of 'Cross The Ocean' is touched by the influence of Boards Of Canada, something that could also be said of the downtempo, beat-heavy ambience of 'Bounce Dive', though there's a more playful and openly tuneful quality to Kenniff's music compared to that of the Brothers Eoin, something highlighted by the airier, brighter productions of the Portlander's music.

There's also a pronounced cinematic quality to all this, and you can well imagine Kenniff being recruited to score a film at some point down the line, especially given beautifully crafted, acoustic guitar-driven pieces like 'South Tree' or the upbeat, piano-heavy 'The Morning Room', both of which showcase this side of his output very strongly.

Chromeo - Business Casual [2010] [V2] HoTT

This summer, the party-starting, festival-happy Montreal plastic-funk duo Chromeo returns. On August 17 September 14, they'll release Business Casual, their third album and the follow-up to the 2007 breakthrough Fancy Footwork, via Atlantic. The band is still finalizing the order of the songs, but we've got the titles of all the songs on the album below. It seems pretty incredible that Chromeo hadn't already released a track called "Hot Mess".

Some fun facts about Business Casual: Solange Knowles lends her voice to "When the Night Falls"; Cassius member and Phoenix producer Philipe Zdar, a longtime Chromeo collaborator, mixed the disc; and, as with Fancy Footwork, Surface 2 Air did the artwork.

Before the album drops, they'll also play a couple of big festivals. The duo has dates lined up at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. And at the 'Roo, they'll fulfill their destiny by sharing a stage with 80s pop legend Daryl Hall.

Chromeo is an electrofunk duo based in Montreal and New York City. The duo is Pee Thugg, on keyboards, synthesizers, and talk box, and Dave 1 (David Macklovitch) on guitar and lead vocals. The two were best friends since childhood and they describe themselves as the only successful Arab (Pee)/Jewish (Dave) collaboration since the beginning of time.

David Macklovitch is currently earning his Ph.D in French Literature from Columbia University, where he also teaches undergraduate French classes.
Highlights of their 2004 debut album She's in Control include club tracks Needy Girl, Mercury Tears, Rage!, and Destination: Overdrive. In 2005, Chromeo released a mix cd of funky dance tracks on Eskimo Belgium records entitled Un Joli Mix Pour Toi (A Pretty Mix For You). During early 2007 Chromeo supported indie rock group Bloc Party on their British tour.

Their second album "Fancy Footwork", produced by Chromeo themselves with the help of Tiga and mixed by Philippe Zdar from Cassius, was released on June 26th, 2007.

Trivia:
Guitarist and lead singer David Macklovitch is the older brother of A-Trak (Alain Macklovitch), who in 1997 was the youngest-ever winner of the DMC World DJ Championship and is currently Kanye West's tour DJ.
