For those of you looking to play host to a dance party, play this! It's got everything you hear at a typical frat party (no Tay Swift or Miley though, sorry to be misleading), but it's presented in a fresh enough way you won't have to be halfway into a case of Natty to get into it.

It’s catchy, cute, and a total must for your iTunes library.“Better With You” is another tune with a classic rock-pop vibe and some C-U-T-E lyrics. Coupled with its clever ear-catching chords, this song grabs your attention and keeps it!“Love The Way,” our personal fave, is the slow love song of the album. Streetlight Manifesto - 99 Songs of Revolution: Volume 1 [2010] [Album]

Release Notes:
--------
99 Songs of Revolution was originally thought to be only a Bandits of the
Acoustic Revolution release, as stated in the liner notes for their debut 2001
EP, A Call to Arms. Not much was known about the project until September 2008,
when the project was officially and publicly announced. It was revealed that 99
Songs of Revolution would feature 99 cover songs spread out over eight
full-length albums from four different artists. Each of the four bands, Bandits
of the Acoustic Revolution, Streetlight Manifesto and two currently unknown
"Streetlight Manifesto related" artists, will release two albums in the series.

The project saw many tentative release dates in 2008 and 2009. Toward the end of
2009, Streetlight Manifesto announced that the first CD had been completed as
was awaiting release from the record label. The band also hinted at the
possibility of self-releasing the album on vinyl through the Pentimento Music
Company "long before" their label could release it on CD.[4] Also in late 2009,
Streetlight Manifesto began previewing their songs from 99 Songs of Revolution
on their website and during live performances.

Fang Island - Fang Island [2010] [Album]

[Electronic / Soul / Instrumental ]

Fang Island is a self-proclaimed “Healing & Easy Listening / Visual” band from “Philayorkadence” in the United States of America. Made up of a guitarist from the band Daughters (Nicholas Andrew Sadler) and four others from the aforementioned town (Jason Bartell, Phil Cucuru, Peter Watts, and Chris Georges), Fang Island makes music that they describe as “everyone high-fiving everyone.”

With the wave of positive indie-pop edging its way into the mainstream, Fang Island presents a uniquely progressive and guitar-based take on the genre. Their layers of riffs can seem daunting at first, but their sound begs repeated listening and the intricacies behind the wall of awesome reveal themselves over time. Stereogum called their jam “The Absolute Place” a “triumphant, heavily riffed, primarily instrumental epic, whiplashing through six minutes of smiling prog jams, and as many tempos as passages, before settling into one last minute of uplifting chants.”

Zola Jesus - Stridulum [2010] [EP]

Nika's new EP Stridulum comes out March 9th on Sacred Bones Records. This EP is completely massive. It is so dense and heavy. Pounding drums, strings, choral sounds, and her voice front and center. It is my favorite Zola Jesus thing she has done so far. It is unbelievable. As soon as this comes out get this. Get this, get this, get this.

Zola Jesus - Stridulum [2010] [EP]

Zola Jesus has been keeping herself busy for the last couple of years. After the release of two LPs, an EP and a couple of singles, touring with the help of her cousin Dead Luke and forming part of Former Ghosts (where Xiu Xiu's Jamie Steward also collaborates) she's coming back with a new 6 tracks EP to be out the 6th of March on Sacred Bones. The EP is not available for pre-order yet and there's no information on the name of the tracks but she's sent one of the tracks to be included called Night to a couple of blogs and I have to say it's my favourite ZJ track yet. Although is her most accessible track so far as the fuzz, noises and lo-fi sound have mainly disappeared, the main characteristics and influences are still there. The track is a dense and mysterious song where she strengthens her voice and stops hiding it behind all the electronic noises she normally uses and has never sound as good. The people who have heard the whole EP says it's the closest she's been to sound Hi-Fi but the EP is still a dense exercise full of pounding drums, strings and choral sounds. And it has one of the best covers I've seen lately. Can't wait to hear it.

01 Night
02 Trust Me
03 I Can't Stand
04 Stridulum
05 Run Me Out
06 Manifest Destiny
